You are wasting your money on lessons unless you
have a great teacher with a powerful program. Teaching is getting
people to change their thoughts and behaviors based on new knowledge.
In my studio you will have a personable player as a teacher who
will listen to you. My style utilizes a unique individual approach
to learning that encompasses all styles of music. To “educate” literally
means “to draw out of”. I have especially designed
my communication with you to give you new knowledge and draw your
personality out through your instrument.
My program will quickly and efficiently have you playing the music
you love rather than boring methods and studies. The difference
between a professional and an amateur is simple. Professionals
know why they do what they do. My students become musicians, players
and performers who know what they are doing, not just people who
take lessons. The strong emphasis on Music Theory will give you
incredible clarity. Further emphasis on technique will give you
unstoppable confidence. All of this is accomplished utilizing songs
that you choose to learn. My core belief is that we learn best
when we do not know we are learning. So the lessons are fun and
inspiring without any of the dull “school textbook like” approach.
We have all heard the old saying. “If you give a man a fish
you feed him for a day, if you teach him how to fish you feed him
for a lifetime”
I will teach you how to fish so that if you hear it, you can play
it, if you see it, you can play it and if you create it you can
play it.

Master Class/Clinic
Having been an avid lifelong student of the guitar Eric has taken his unique individual approach to the guitar and organized it any way that is very fun and inspiring. His clinics address issues that concern players of all styles and idioms. During his master class Eric amplifies that music is the “art of listening” and by learning what to listen to what we hear in our head and our heart we find our style. These clinics are an intense testimony that “information is not power” nor is knowledge. In fact in today’s information society the exact opposite is true! There is too much information and knowledge and we are surrounded by “data smog” Eric strongly believes that “Clarity is power” Eric’s teaching style and clinics use concise simple concepts of music theory and ear training that give students incredible clarity and confidence! Consulting /Coaching
Having been involved heavily in every aspect of the music business in the last 19 years Eric brings a lot of experience to the table. Whether it be production, management, distribution, marketing or booking he has been heavily involved. Having successfully run his own indie label Doilie Records since 1994 Eric has seen what happens to artist who do the ‘Major Label dance” without knowing what they are getting into and being prepared to swim with the sharks. Eric has successfully managed several bands as well as developed strategic “guerrilla marketing campaigns using the web as a tool of unlimited potential. His collaboration with animator Aaron Pendland for a song he wrote entitled “I’m a Cow” became a massive viral success on the internet and one of the most popular sites ever on the internet. For everything from copyright and publishing questions to how to get a bar code on your CD we can help. For setting up a consultation e-mail me or call (940) 891-1378
